Grade 2 Listed Terrace Property, Brighton

When we undertook the renovation and restoration of our Grade II listed property in central Brighton, we knew that we would have to replace all the windows.

At some point in the past, uPVC windows had been fitted to the rear of the property and the windows at the front were riddled with dry rot and beyond repair. After consulting with the Heritage Dept, we were given specific guidelines as to the style and materials we could use for the new windows and accordingly we obtained a quote from a respected local joinery company, which came as a bit of a shock. On the advice of our project manager, we approached the Wooden Sash Window Company for another quotation and were delighted to learn that not only was their price significantly cheaper, but they would also be able to work to a much shorter time-frame.

Once the order was placed, our first windows arrived in 4 weeks and the whole installation was completed 2 weeks later. The quality of the workmanship was first class, the fitters were clean, polite and helpful and we are delighted with the finished job. We would have no hesitation recommending The Wooden Sash Window Company for quality and affordability. In fact, the money we saved allowed us to upgrade our kitchen worktops and still remain within budget, so many thanks to WSWC.
